Service Description

* Connect to your core & pelvic floor * Connect to your community This is a 4 consecutive week series Pregnancy and birth can affect your pelvic floor and deep core system resulting in pelvic floor issues such as: Incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, diastase recti abdominis and pelvic pain syndromes. This 4-week yoga series lays the foundation for re-establishing deep core and pelvic floor awareness, connection and function. You will learn how to relax and release your pelvic floor, build strength and resilience in your pelvic floor and decrease low back and pelvic pain. Find your supportive village by connecting with other postnatal birth parents. This class is suitable for postnatal birth parents who are 6 weeks postpartum or greater. No previous yoga experience is required. Babies and children of all ages are welcome to attend. This class can be taken live in person or live online ***Please be aware that although we will do our best to maintain privacy for all participants there is a chance you may occasionally be visible to the camera and appear in the recording of the class*** Cost: $115 for 4 classes. 60 minutes/class Class Location: Equip Wellness Collective- 1688 St.James, Winnipeg NEXT SERIES: TBA Offered in partnership with Stephanie Maxwell of The Pregnant Pelvis Stephanie has worked extensively with pregnant and postpartum individuals. She is a Registered Massage Therapist whose work focuses on the perinatal population, a Pre and Postnatal Fitness Expert, a Massage Therapy Educator and a Yoga Teacher. Stephanie has been practicing yoga since the year 2000, and teaching yoga since 2010. She holds certifications in postnatal yoga and yoga for pelvic health. Having 2 children herself, and undergoing her own pelvic health dysfunctions, Stephanie greatly understands the pelvic health needs postpartum individuals face after giving birth. Her educational postnatal yoga classes focus on building pelvic floor awareness, balance, and function through alignment, breath and movement.
